PLANTS, ANIMALS, AND INSECTS ARE AFFECTED BY DEFORESTATION EVERY DAY

OF SPECIES ARE DECLINING
ON A GLOBAL SCALE

Extinction and disease don't stop for anyone. The threat of habitat loss, disease, and human interference will further harm wildlife if we continue to a blind eye to them.

It's time we take action. Earth Day is a celebration of our planet and the wonderful beings that call it home. We must protect our planet to show our appreciation for the world we live in. Wildlife has been under immense pressure as their habitats are destroyed. We are at risk of losing biodiversity.

Why is preserving biodiversity important?

Every species is important. Every plant, animal, and insect has a role in their ecosystem. We must work together to preserve the array of animal species that share Earth with us to live in harmony.

What can we do to help on Earth Day?

There are plenty of things we can do to help for Earth Day! Choosing ethically sourced products and informing others about unsustainable practices is a great way to start. Staying up-to-date on developing projects is another valuable resource.

Animals become sick and injured, just like people do. These problems have only amplified as our planet changes. It’s a wildlife veterinarian’s responsibility to take care of these creatures. The Wild Animal Health Fund supports research grants for zoo and wildlife vets. In turn, we can learn how to make sure the world’s wild animals are leading the best lives possible.

Saving our planet isn't limited to one day a year. With your help today, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of creatures that call Planet Earth home. It all starts with healthy animals.
